Dear G.irls

We took lovely Melanie, our Confashion winner, to Paris this weekend where she could experience the life of a fashion buyer for two days!

We had picked Melanie as the winner because of her absolutely crazy but truly individual style. We made a great choice, Melanie is not only a very stylish girl, but also a sweetheart!

Saturday morning, we arrived in Paris. Bonjour!

Gabi and Nadja came pretty much straight from Berlin, Melanie all the way from Lucerne and Recha from Zürich (got up at 5am!). United, we had a faboulous first day in Paris and did some serious shopping and store checking!Le Metro, c’est chic.

Our first day in Paris ended with a delicous dinner at Hotel du Nord, a restaurant we truly loved! A place worth visiting for a perfect dinner!

We had such a good time in Paris, saw amazing new collections, found some new exciting designers, picked lovely pieces, ate great food, had so many good laughs and can’t wait to show you the treasures we found in Paris!

Recha: How does it feel to win the G.point Confashion competition?
Melanie: Amazing, I never even thought I had the chance of winning, I just imagined how great it would be and participated. Now I am here, it’s the best feeling ever… I actually never won anything before, so this is really special to me.

R: How much time do you spend on a normal day to get ready?
M: Because I start working pretty early I usually take 30 mins to get ready, no longer than that. Plus I often oversleep and that doesn’t help either.

R: What is there you most love about fashion?
M: I love the variety of styles and I love the fact that it’s easier in Switzerland to wear something no one else does so.

R: What brands at G.point do you fancy most?
M: WILDFOX, oh my god it’s my number one favorite brand and I adore the tees they make.

2. Lisa Dengler, 22, Architecture Student currently living in Rome

R: Congratulations on your 2nd place at our Confashion competition. We truly love your streetstyle pic! How did you become a fashion blogger yourself?
Lisa: It all started with Lookbook.nu.. I got interested in this blogging community and started to share my photos with the world. Then a friend of mine told me to do my own blog and I just did it. I am working together with my boyfriend and we already have 30’000 visitors per month, in over 149 countries.

R: What are you going to spend your prize-money on? L: Actually I already spent it all tonight, I bought myself a wonderful lamb fur bag from See by Chloe bag and a blouse from Malene Birger. I truly love shopping!

Martina Mikusic, 26, Model and studies Event Management in Zürich

R: You have sent us a photo of yourself modeling, tell us more about it…
M: hey Recha, yes I did send you one of my first shooting pics, which I did with a very good female photographer. I’ve been modeling since I’m sixteen (with a five years break because of school). Now I’ve started again one year ago. Its a hard but very fun business. I’ll keep doing it for the next few years and then start to work in the event field, where I’m currently doing my studies at.

R: What did you like most at the Opening Party of G.point?
M: The Opening Party was very glamorous and i saw many many stylish people there. What I loved the most: my shopping gift coupon I won this evening and for sure the mini hamburgers …njam njam delicious! It was great to be there.

R: How have you heard about G.points Confashion competition?
M: I heard about G point from a good friend of mine, she told me about it. Facebook did the rest! Nowadays you get pretty much all the information from facebook!
