They call us “serial shoppers”!

Hello girls,

Last season we had a journalist and a photographer from Edelweiss magazine with us in Paris to report on our job as fashion buyers. The magazine is out now and here are the photos!

Walking the streets of Paris, trying to answer emails in between appointments.

Decisions, decisions. Which shoes will sell best? How many? What colors?

“Or maybe I don’t buy them at all…” thinks Gabi.

Off to the next appointment where Nadja needs to find some great college-style blazers.

Examining the sample, she tells the designer what she wants altered so that it’s the perfect blazer for our G.POINT girls.

We always check out our favorite stores in the cities we visit, in Paris it’s Merci and Le66 Champs Elysées. Often, we find similar brands we picked for G.POINT.

A quick banana to keep us going!

Buying fashion is not only glamorous! We take the metro through Paris, the fastest way to travel!

Nadja is inspecting some cool jackets at the Tranoï show.

In the mornings, we write about new brands on our blog and tell you what’s going on at G.POINT.

This is our life! Hope you enjoyed the “behind the scenes” peak and see you soon at G.POINT!

VERA FLASH

On Style Spy this week, we got a very special girl for you! When in New York, I met up-and-coming singer VERA FLASH. She is a very pretty girl with an individual style. I captured her in her favorite spots in the East Village, NY. I hope you enjoy!

At Vera’s favorite Moroccan cafe, Cafe Mogador, we spoke about her new song and music video HUSTLE (listen here). Her next song, HOLLYWOOD STAR is coming out soon, so stay tuned! I asked her a few questions about her style.

How are your style and your music related?

For Hustle, we worked with two stylists, one of them being Anne Madden, who has styled everyone including Britney Spears. With fashion, I want to express who the character is that I am playing and where this person’s place is in society. For Hustle, I wore lace underwear and a sheer pink nightgown. And my old vintage ballet pointe shoes!

After coffee, she showed me the cutest book shop that she loves.

What’s your style?
I am a collector, especially of jewelry. I have been wearing these two rings since I’ve been a little girl. I keep moving them to smaller fingers as they no longer fit! I renovate my closet every so often and I wear what’s right for me and not what’s necessarily trend on the street. I found a peach lace night gown from the 40′s at an antique store that I’m going to wear to my sister’s wedding. It cost more to tailor it than to buy it. But so worth it!

Then, she took me to a gift shop called sustainable nyc and it started pouring rain!

After visiting this cute store, I said goodbye to Vera as she had to run to another interview. I wished her the best of luck with her skyrocketing music career!

Vera wears mostly vintage clothing she finds in stores in the East Village, NY.

Vera’s Biography
Self taught producer and singer, Vera started to focus on music after years of theater training and stage work. She was heavily influenced by electronic musicians such as Lorn, Machinedrum, Gorillaz, Aphex Twin, Boyz Noize, and Prodigy, before setting out to define her own style. Vera grew up in a rural town in upstate NY, her mom was a dance teacher, and Vera began training in ballet and modern at an early age. After graduating at 17, Vera moved out and traveled alone through Europe before moving to NY to study history and theater at Eugene Lang at the New School University. Vera writes all her concepts and lyrics. She just finished recording her first EP.
