Dear G.irls
Last weekend we have enjoyed our trip to Paris with the confashion winner Melanie. She was wearing the most wicked outfits and made a lasting impression on the G.point team!
Paris was a blast, we loved the tradeshow and found some black pearls (metaphorically) for sure! A few days later, I interviewed Melanie on her lasting memories!
Recha: What was the first thing you told your girlfriends when you came back?
Melanie: I showed them the photos, of course! Then I told them about the process of fashion buying. I never thought of the fact that you guys buy the fashion one year ahead, which impressed me! I love how you already see what’s going to be in fashion one year in advance, amazing!
R: Did you love being a G.irl for a weekend?
M: Yes, I had so much fun. You were all so lovely, I had a great time with you guys and I felt very welcome. I loved being a G.irl!
R: Has the tradeshow changed your understanding of fashion and how is that going to have an impact on your life?
M: I didn’t know about tradeshows at all before Paris! To get to know about the amount of different brands that exist, about the huge size of a tradeshow (it’s huge, I tell you!!) and how many people there are. I will for sure check out the new designers that I discovered with the G.irls and will come to G.point when the new stuff will arrive next winter. I am glad I was there picking clothes with Nadja and loved every single piece she got.
R: What trends did you like most?
M: From the Winter 2012 collections, I loved the colorful pants the most, especially the washed jeans in the colors of burgundy and mint!
R: Thanks for your time Melanie, any last words?
M: I wanted to thank Nadja, Gabi and Recha (and the G.point team!) for this weekend in Paris! Thanks for picking me. It was a great experience, very interesting and valuable to me. This weekend helped me to be even more interested in fashion and to understand the business side behind it as well! Thank you again, for taking me along on this great weekend, I enjoyed it so much!!
We had a great time with you too, Melanie, and hope to have you back at G.point soon!
All the best from the G.irls,
yours sincerely Recha.
